Burberry!!!
So my sister went on a field trip,the one where the whole class, the whole bunch, De Gantzeh Gang "are gonna have a ball".... I get an urgent call the night before, can you please check if you have a nice burberry bag that I can use? Umm,,,Don’t you have the off-white lunch/tote bag we bought you for Chanukah? That would be perfect…!! Well, Yes, I do, but I need something just for my sweater and some fruits that didn’t fit. Umm.. you know I would love to help, but unfortunately I don’t have a “burberry”. How about any fancy shopping bag like Neiman Marcus, Ferragamo, or any other posh stores?? Umm.. its late, I am really not in the mood to search my pantry closet, but you have the lunch bag, so why wouldn’t you just take any shopping bag for the extras? Like , what point are you trying to make, by having a sweater from Taubers in a St. John bag? Or an apple from a louis vitan?Capital DUH!!!

slik--that's cute about the umbrella is it bec you don't like burberry or bec you think it's too pretentious :) ...bmg for a learning boy you sure seem to know a lot of designer names lol...as for myself i'm sooooo not into name brands i couldn't care less...if i like something i get it (if i can afford it lol) if it happens to be a name brand so be it but i certainly don't seek it out...i guess i'm the minority when it comes to women but i just don't get it...especially the ones that have their labels outside like it's necessary to let ppl know who made the bag, scarf etc...my next outfit i'm sewing on the %100 cotton tag on the outside to let ppl know the fabric it's made out of...to me that makes more sense lol....btw i have a burberry bag--i spent $5 on it ;)
my favorite is the brand name on the tichel of the shpitzels...

It's a sickness that people have. I have friends that go into hock because they "only wear ___ (fill in your favorite designer here)"
I believe this is a result of low self esteem. If one feels they "need" to wear such clothes or items, then the only reason is because they feel they need to in order to get someone else to notice them. Or because they want to be included with other people as friends. Only to realize that such people aren't really friends at all.
I won't knock brand names because I do think that in some cases, their quality is better and they are more comfortable than cheaper clothing (not always the case though). But I certainly don't agree with parents who feel that their little kids need to wear such clothes (and who yell at them should they ruin them -- they're kids -- they're SUPPOSED to ruin clothes)
The main point is, I think it's ok to want the fancier things in life (we're all human), but it shouldn't completely overtake you as a person and become your ultimate goal.

Compare apples to apples,of course I like something with better preformance, but if a Chevy would have all the bells and whistles like Q45, I wouldnt mind the Chevy name.
